Today marks a special milestone for us as we celebrate our Silver Anniversary at MD. As part of our celebrations, we shared the afternoon with our Team of staff and our consultants, most of whom are ex-MD staff members and remain as part of our wider family network.
So many of these connections and relationships go back many years and have been and continue to be an integral part of our journey.
Where it all began…
15 October 1997…., our dream of offering a boutique client centred Audit Firm becomes a reality, and MD Accountants and Auditors Inc. opens its doors in Rondebosch

15 October 2022 and 25 years later we reflect on a remarkable journey and celebrate the people who have partnered with us – our clients, our staff, and our network.
In 1997 there were 8 staff members, 3 of whom were partners. From those humble beginnings, we have morphed into a business that has grown and developed people and been a foundation for many successful careers, and celebrated many professional achievements.
We have worked with many talented staff members, several of whom have been with us for more than half of this journey.
Our strategic networks that we have established over the years are invaluable to us. We greatly appreciate the support that we have been given by these alliances and collaborators.
There is no business without our wonderful clients. We are enormously grateful and appreciative to each and every one who has trusted and partnered with us over the years.
It is a rare and special privilege to have clients that started with us in 1997 and remain with us today. Their loyalty and business are so important to us, and we honour and thank them for these special relationships as we do all the clients who have joined us in our journey.
The last 25 years has seen the world change dramatically, with so many challenges including economic turbulence and more recently a major pandemic leading to financial pressures. This has required strength of character, sound business thinking, and investment in relationships. Our clients’ entrepreneurial spirits have risen to these challenges, and we applaud all that you have achieved.
25 years of partnership, 25 years of memories, and 25 years of relationships – a journey worthy of celebration!
The MD of today is a multi-faceted partnership on so many levels and we are humbled and grateful for your continued support. In the spirit of our gratitude and appreciation, we are making a donation of R25 000 to charitable organisations within our community. In addition, we are sponsoring the planting of Silvertrees at Kirstenbosch on the date of our Silver Anniversary to mark the occasion.
We look forward to many more years of innovation, excellence, and partnership with you.
