This is a photo of me and baby A. It made me think so deeply of us all needing a hand. Someone we can rely on and is pure in their service to humanity. I want to share a story with you. When I held an abandoned baby 11 years ago on my chest, my head and heart were filled with an overwhelming question of how can I help. There was no question however that I wasn’t going to. I did not know that at that moment my life would change. Atlantic Hope and myself working in Child protection services was ‘born’ shortly after.
Amongst all the red tape I called Alexis Sacks my Accountant at MD Accountants and Auditors. I had already known her for close on 15 years. I explained my vision. She started helping and ensured what seemed like the impossible possible. We began sharing my vision and brought it to fruition with legal compliance by completing a Constitution, registering as a Non-Profit and Public Benefit organisation. While I faced challenges of the darker side of life – bringing abused and neglected babies into our arms, she held my hand professionally and as a friend.
Nothing was too small or too big to give advice on and proceed with whatever needed to be done together with her team. She encouraged me all the way. Faced my obstacles head-on. Discounted her services beyond generosity. All of which she still does. Thank you special Alexis. What if you didn’t hold my hand? What if you let go? I hope someone reading this post is able to reach out and help just one person.
The heavens seemed to open this week and shed happiness. We received the most beautiful updates, pictures, and messages of thanks from families. Our passion continues and I thank you all for your words of encouragement, recognition, and generosity.

December ten years ago I founded Atlantic Hope. There was no question as to who I would approach to help set up the NPO and forge forward with the Accounting procedures.
